Plein Air 2007–2008
Swans Island, Maine, an inspirational, raw and dramatic landscape, has been my summer community and a source of twenty years of painting material. While there, I paint on site from the tidal shore, forests, and island swamps. The islands magical light, ever-changing weather and tides, and geological variety hold a lifetimes worth of visual interest.
